ABOUT THE PYST

The Perth Young Scientist Tournament is a student-centred science competition that challenges high school students to think and work like real scientists.

The tournament fosters curiosity, critical thinking, teamwork, and resilience, providing an authentic, thrilling platform for students to develop advanced inquiry and problem-solving skills beyond the classroom.

Problems in 2026 are used with special thanks from former IYPT (International Young Physicists Tournament) and IYNT (International Young Naturalists Tournament) competitions
